Into The Mystic

We were born before the wind
Also younger than the sun
Ere the bonnie boat was won as we sailed into the mystic
Hark, now hear the sailors cry
Smell the sea and feel the sky
Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic

And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
And when that fog horn blows I want to hear it
I dont have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Then magnificently we will float into the mystic
And when that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home
And when thst fog horn whistle blows I got to hear it
I dont have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
And together we will float into the mystic
Come on girl…

Kathy at Minnesota Nice posted a link to a video on my page on TuDiabetes.com  . Awhile back I posted a meme about my favorite things. She remembered this was my favorite song. No matter when I hear it, it brings me back to a time when i would dance around the living room with my newborn daughter (who is now 18), and dance and sing to this. A song of love and of peace. It always has brought me to a place that no other song can. I hope it does the same for you.

  1. Oh my. I think we all have that “gypsy soul” deep inside of us.
I used to have it on my answering machine.
I have never liked Van covers much, but this woman does an awesome job – she is Harry Chapin’s daughter.

  2. So great. I must listen to the Moondance album at least once each week.

FYI- my kids even love this album. I love “And It Stoned Me” That reminds me of being a kid when my mom and dad were still happily married.

Those were great times. Now I am crying. Thanks! 🙂
